This is a Japanese Ikebana Design Workshop presented by Senior Master Komon (Advisor) in the Sogetsu School of Ikebana in Tokyo, Japan, Myrna Cordray

The class is on the basic upright Moribana and Nageire designs in the school of Ikebana.  You may refer to pages 325-336 of the OAGC Handbook for more information on these Japanese designs. You will need to bring two containers, one for Moribana and one for Nageire (see illustrations on pages 335-336).

The Moribana container can be of any shape or color between 12”-14” in diameter.  You will also need a kenzan (also called a pin holder or needle point) about 3”-4” in diameter for the bottom of the container.  Please do NOT adhere the kenzan to the container.
The Nageire container can be any shape (cylinder, square, ribbed, etc.) 10”-12” tall and 3”-4” in diameter.

We will be “brown-bagging” our lunch, so please bring your lunch, including a drink.

From Columbus Take US-23 S and turn left on North Court Street.
From Lancaster Take US-22 W into Circleville, US-22 becomes Main St. and go right (north) on North Court St.
From Chillicothe Take 23 N to Circleville and take the US-22/OH-56 ramp toward Circleville. Turn left (north) onto North Court St.
From Washington Court House Take US-22 E into Circleville and turn left (north) onto No. Court St.
