Region 9, Ohio Association of Garden Clubs

Garden Clubs Make a Difference!

Welcome to The Ohio Association of Garden Clubs, Inc. (OAGC) Region 9 website.

We hope that our website will be helpful to both garden club members and visitors who seek information about our organization.  OAGC consists of fifteen (15) districts.  Each district has its own board, which consists of a director, a secretary, a treasurer and twelve chairmen.  Region 9 is located in the south-central part of Ohio and includes Fairfield, Franklin, Pickaway and Ross counties.  There are twenty-five adult and two junior garden clubs in our region.

Region 9 members enjoy regional meetings twice a year, in the spring and fall, where all club members have an opportunity to gather together for business, fellowship, and very interesting and educational programs.  Members look forward to these experiences.  State officers often attend the regional meetings, so it is also a wonderful opportunity to meet the leaders and learn more about our organization.

Each garden club in our Region holds an individual garden club meeting once a month.  The club members share knowledge about horticulture, gardening, conservation, wildlife and floral design.  Club activities may also include garden tours, flower shows, design classes, educational exhibits, horticultural programs and guest speakers.  Members have the opportunity to attend an annual OAGC state convention and participate in projects in their local communities.

Being a member of an OAGC garden club is an exciting and fulfilling experience.  If you enjoy gardening, floral arranging, wildlife, ecology, or conservation, you may wish to become a member or learn more about us!  You may contact our region by linking to the contact page.
